Mrs. Moncrief was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is a former Magnet student of East Baton Rouge Parish School System. She is a proud alumni of THE McKinley Senior High School. She received a Bachelor of Science at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Masters in Education at Louisiana State University. She is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
Mrs. Moncrief professional career is dedicated to improving the lives of young people in the State of Louisiana. She has pursued her professional career educating elementary school students. She completed seven (7) years as a highly effective classroom teacher with East Baton Rouge Parish School District. Over the past four (4) years She has performed the duties of an Administrative Dean at Forest Heights Academy of Excellence. Mrs. Moncrief's decision to pursue a career in education administration arises from a very strong desire to make a positive impact on an entire school community. As the Administrative Dean, she will work diligently with our internal and external stakeholders to execute the vision and mission of Forest Heights Academy of Excellence. She firmly, believes that as an educational institution, we play a fundamental role in positioning students for future success. She is committed to corroborating with teachers, parents, and community members to ensure our children achieve their full potential and are prepared for the next phase of their educational career. On a personal note she is the proud wife to Corporal James L. Moncrief of the Baton Rouge City Police Department and mother to three beautiful daughters Addison, Jordyn, and Karlee who are gifted & talented and magnet students in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. They are her world, they give her all the love and motivation she needs to keep pressing forward! It’s an exciting opportunity to pay it forward to the East Baton Rouge community that gave so much to her. |
